Soft Opening at the Harry Potter Theme Park

Today is the first time the muggle community has been allowed to tour and experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Guests with the memorial day package were allowed in at 8 but when the gates to IOA were opened to all, “regular” guests were told they could go in too — but only until 10 a.m.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

This might be considered the beginning of the “soft-opening” phase, although Universal will not confirm that this gesture will be an every day thing. In other words, be prepared for the surprises. It’s all part of the journey leading up to the grand opening on June 18. The number of folks being let into WWHP will be limited.

Many observers have been monitoring the progress of the new dark ride, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, housed in Hogwarts castle. The ride seems to be functioning fine and without delays.

Come back tomorrow for the full review of the “Harry Potter And The Forbidden Journey”.

I really love Harry Potter. I would love to visit the park. Unfortunately, my parents don’t love me enough to bring me. I live in Canada so I can’t ride my bike. If you could please send me some free tickets that would be great. Love you from the bottom of my heart.

I love the idea that you can go to Hogsmead! And the fact you can get butterbear! I’m going to try and get enough money to get my parents to take me.

We just returned from the HP “soft opening” & my best advice is STAY AWAY!!! You are sure to be shocked at the lack of space in the shops: Olivander’s holds maybe 20 people (max) & the lines were LONG even in the soft opening! The sweets shop & magic shop are even smaller!! & don’t even think of getting a WC in there!! READ ON to hear about the ride!!
